I wrote this story in a much shorter time-frame than usual, as the news of Roe v. Wade being overturned broke in the middle of our last issue of the year. As one of the most experienced writers on staff and a newly-minted editor-in-chief, I took on this story in order to bring this contentious national topic to a local level. After much consideration and deliberation (including full nights spent pacing around my basement), I finally settled on a way to cover the issue in a way that did not rehash the same tired debate: the issue of equity, and about the event's impact --- or lack thereof --- on our school community.
